1. Data We Collect

• Email address (for account)
• Profile details (nickname, gender, age, languages, favorite teams, avatar)
• Text chat messages and room participation history
• Ratings and short tags you receive
• Wallet balance and transaction records (tickets, tips, gifts, withdrawals, deposits)
• Reports you submit or receive
• Referral relationships (who signed up with your code)

2. Voice & Audio (Important)

FootballChat is a live voice chat product. Voice audio is transmitted in real time directly between participants (peer-to-peer), or relayed through our servers when a direct connection is not possible (for example, on mobile networks). We do not record, store, transcribe, or listen to your voice audio. Audio is not written to disk and leaves memory the moment it is forwarded. We cannot retrieve your past conversations.

Your microphone is only active while you are in a voice room and only after you grant microphone permission. You can mute yourself at any time.

3. How We Use Data

To provide matchmaking, chat rooms, and community features; to settle paid rooms (host payouts and refunds); and to enforce our Terms of Service (including reviewing reports). We do not sell your personal data, and we do not use it for advertising profiling.

4. Children

FootballChat is not intended for anyone under 16. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, contact us and we will delete it.

5. Third-Party Processors

We rely on a small number of service providers to operate the service: cloud hosting (located in the European Union), email delivery for account verification and password reset, and error monitoring. These providers process data on our behalf under data-processing agreements and do not use your data for their own purposes. You can request a current list of processors by contacting us.

6. International Data Transfers

Our servers are located in the European Union (Germany). Where a processor is located outside the EEA, we rely on appropriate safeguards (such as Standard Contractual Clauses) as required by GDPR Chapter V.

7. Your Rights (GDPR)

• Right to access — export a copy of your data
• Right to deletion — delete your account (all personal data is removed)
• Right to rectification — update your profile anytime
• Right to withdraw consent — delete your account at any time; consent is not required for the core service
• Right to restriction, portability, and to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority

8. Cookies

We use only essential cookies for authentication and session management. No tracking, analytics, or advertising cookies.

9. Data Retention

Account data is retained until you delete your account or your account is terminated. Deleted data is permanently removed within 30 days. Individual ratings you receive are hidden for 7 days after the room ends, then become visible.

10. Data Breach Notification

In the event of a personal data breach that risks your rights and freedoms, we will notify the competent supervisory authority within 72 hours and inform you without undue delay where required by law.
